Plans to expand COB, MIP and other production lines, one company completes financing

Recently, Zhejiang Dacai Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (GKC) announced that it has completed Series B financing and all funds have been in place.

All funds from this round will be used for the construction and expansion of the three major super factories in the west, east and south, as well as AI smart manufacturing upgrades, to further enhance full-category mass production capabilities.

According to the official Weibo account, this round of financing will be earmarked to fully promote the strategic layout of the three major super factories in the country, with the focus being on promoting the upgrade of production capacity and intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

1) Large-scale expansion of production capacity

Upgrade the SMD standardized mass production lines, GOB/HOB standardized mass production lines, and expand COB and MIP high-end precision production lines in the three major factories to achieve large-scale conventional products and normalized mass production of high-end products, build a fully flexible automated adaptation system covering large and small orders, and break the production bottleneck of high-end customization and mass delivery.

2) Full-link AI intelligent manufacturing upgrade

The three super factories have fully implemented AI visual quality inspection, digital management and control, intelligent production scheduling and intelligent warehousing systems to realize intelligentization and visualization of the entire production process, greatly improving product consistency and delivery stability, and benchmarking the industry's top manufacturing standards.

GKC said that looking forward to the future, the company will rely on the solid intelligent manufacturing foundation formed by the three major super factories in the east, west and south, continue to iterate core technologies and optimize one-stop EMS service capabilities.

It is understood that Zhejiang Dacai Optoelectronics was established in 2020. It is an EMS source intelligent manufacturing company focusing on all categories of LED displays. It has three super factory bases in the east, west, and south, and has a full-technology production process system of SMD, GOB\HOB, COB, and MIP. Its products cover all categories of LED display applications and are suitable for indoor and outdoor commerce, engineering, stage rental, high-end ultra-high definition and other diverse scenarios.

In the past two years, Dacai Optoelectronics has also continued to promote the construction of LED display projects.

Among them, the Dacai Optoelectronics Southwest Semiconductor new display manufacturing base project with a total investment of approximately 2 billion yuan will strive to have the first phase of the production line officially put into operation before May 2026. It will be promoted in two phases. The first phase will invest about 800 million yuan, renting 30,000 square meters of standard factory buildings, mainly building LED display module production lines using SMD packaging technology and related supporting facilities; the second phase plans to invest about 1.2 billion yuan, and will rent 36,000 square meters of factories in advance, and gradually complete the overall buyback of the two-phase factory buildings, focusing on the construction of LED ultra-high-definition display module production lines based on COB packaging technology.

At the same time, in June last year, Zhejiang Dacai Optoelectronics' annual output of 48,000 square meters of Mini COB small-pitch LED display construction project was approved by the environmental assessment. The project plans to invest 176.5 million yuan, and the product specifications range from P1.875 to P0.4 pitch.
