Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute and Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliances Industry Association created a special practical training on AIGC lighting design that was success


In order to solve the pain points of traditional design drawings in the lighting industry, such as slow drawings, high revision costs, and insufficient restoration of renderings, and promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of Ningbo's lighting industry, on July 25, the AIGC lighting design special practical training organized by the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Industry Association and Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. was successfully held in the multi-functional hall on the second floor of Ningbo Jiangbei Bund Huagang Hotel. This one-day special training attracted a total of 31 lighting designers and design practitioners from member companies to participate in the training. Industry leaders, design institute experts, and senior AI lighting instructors gathered at the scene to explore the path to the integration of AI technology and lighting design.

Attending the opening meeting were He Gansheng, director of the Lighting Design Engineering Special Committee of the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliances Industry Association, deputy directors Zhang Zhonghui and Tang Junjiang, association secretary-general Wang Junkai, committee secretary-general Wang Wei, Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute/chairman of the Zhejiang Lighting Electrical Appliances Association Shen Wei, AI lighting design lecturer and senior lighting designer Sun Pengfei, AI lighting training instructor and senior lighting designer Luo Jidi, and guest Guo Feng of the Lighting Engineering Special Committee of the Zhejiang Lighting Electrical Appliances Association.

This training was hosted by Tang Junjiang, deputy director of the special committee, who controlled the entire class opening process, introduced the leaders, guests and the core values of this training, kicking off the full-day training.

The training officially entered the opening phase, and Dr. He, the director of the Lighting Design Engineering Committee, delivered the opening speech. Director He pointed out that the tools have been updated iteratively, but our original intention for lighting quality, pursuit of light and shadow aesthetics, and persistence in the cause of urban lighting remain unchanged. Embracing new AI technology is to better interpret design creativity and empower quality projects. We hope that you will take this training as an opportunity to break through design bottlenecks, improve your professional capabilities, and drive enterprises to accelerate digital transformation. In the future, the association will continue to build a digital training and technology exchange platform to continue to empower the high-quality development of the local lighting industry.

Subsequently, Shen Wei, Dean of Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute/Chairman of Zhejiang Lighting Electrical Appliances Association, came on stage to introduce the course system in detail to all students. Dean Shen combined various floor-to-ceiling lighting projects of the design institute to explain the application advantages of AIGC in scenes such as cultural and tourism ancient buildings, urban landmarks, and landscape night scenes. He explained that AI is an efficient auxiliary tool to amplify designers' creativity and simplify the drawing process. He hopes that students will understand the practical skills and transform what they have learned into project productivity.

Full-day practical teaching, directly addressing the practical pain points of lighting design. After the opening ceremony, senior lighting designers Sun Pengfei and Luo Jidi, who have ten to twenty years of industry experience, jointly conducted full-day practical teaching. The entire course is built based on the A-station Guangzhi 3.0 model, and the whole process is combined with real lighting project cases, and the teaching is carried out in the form of hands-on computer practice. The course completely covers the basic operation of tools and practical implementation in multiple scenarios: it first explains the underlying logic of the Guangzhi 3.0 model and the functional operations of the platform, focuses on teaching the prompt word optimization method adapted to the lighting industry, guides students to debug parameters, and effectively improves settings such as light and shadow distortion and scene effect inconsistency in AI images. Analyze pain points; at the same time, we carry out in-depth practical training around the two core scenes of cultural tourism, ancient buildings and urban landscape landmarks, sort out professional design guidelines such as lighting design specifications, illumination color temperature, and ecological lighting for various projects, disassemble dynamic light and shadow AI generation logic, and demonstrate the rapid generation process of complete lighting solutions on site.

The training concluded successfully, and digital transformation continues. A compact and fulfilling day of special practical training came to a successful conclusion. Everyone said that this course accurately meets the actual needs of lighting engineering. It is different from general AI design courses and specifically solves the pain points of industry drawing. The previous work of repeatedly modifying renderings can be greatly simplified with the help of AI tools. It will be quickly applied to actual projects such as cultural and tourism lighting, municipal landmarks, and real estate landscapes. In the next step, the Lighting Design Engineering Committee of the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Industry Association will continue to promote the intelligent transformation and upgrading of Ningbo's lighting industry, empower industrial innovation with new AI technologies, and polish the characteristic business card of Ningbo's lighting industry.
