A symposium on analysis and evaluation of the implementation of mandatory national standards in the lighting field was successfully held in Hangzhou

On July 21, 2026, in order to implement the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the analysis and evaluation of the implementation of mandatory national standards, Beijing Electric Light Source Research Institute Co., Ltd., as the unit responsible for the statistical analysis of the implementation of mandatory national standards in the lighting field, under the vigorous coordination of the Zhejiang Provincial Lighting Appliance Standardization Technical Committee, held a symposium on the statistical analysis and evaluation of the implementation of mandatory national standards in the lighting field at the Zhejiang Electronic Information Products Inspection Research Institute. Chen Ping, Vice President of Zhejiang Electronic Information Products Inspection Institute, extended a warm welcome to all participating representatives and looked forward to in-depth exchanges with all parties involved. Senior Engineer Wu Yongqiang, Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Provincial Lighting Electrical Technology Committee, Consultant Researcher Chen Zhegen, as well as experts and representatives from nearly 20 units including lighting industry manufacturers, testing units and research institutions in Zhejiang Province attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Zhang Wei, leader of the Standards Center of the Institute of Light Sources, first introduced the task background and goals of this analysis and evaluation of the implementation of mandatory national standards. She said that this work aims to conscientiously implement the key tasks of standardization reform entrusted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, comprehensively analyze the current status of the implementation of mandatory standards in the lighting field, study and formulate standardization implementation optimization measures that are in line with the actual industry, and effectively improve the efficiency of standard implementation. At the same time, she also hopes that all relevant units will strengthen communication and collaboration, fully share industry information, carefully sort out the difficulties in the implementation of standards, objectively reflect the actual problems of the industry, and work together to ensure the high-quality completion of this statistical analysis and evaluation work.

Subsequently, representatives from participating units focused on the 11 mandatory national standards in the lighting field and conducted in-depth discussions based on the actual development of the industry. They fully communicated and had heated discussions on core content such as the current status of standard implementation, pain points and difficulties in implementation, the degree of adaptation of strong standards to industrial development, market supervision and spot inspection results, the effectiveness of publicity and implementation training, and the coordination of multi-standard convergence, and jointly reviewed and planned the subsequent optimization and improvement of standards.

In the next step, the responsible unit will strictly follow the relevant task requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, continue to organize symposiums and surveys, comprehensively analyze the implementation, applicability, coordination, constraints and implementation effectiveness of various mandatory standards, systematically sort out and summarize the opinions and demands of all parties in the industry, conduct an in-depth analysis of the effectiveness of standard implementation and existing problems, solidly promote various statistics, analysis and evaluation work, and provide strong support for the optimization, improvement and accurate implementation of mandatory standards in the lighting field.
