Recently, in the intelligent LED plant factory of Xinjiang Zijing Chuansuo High-tech Agriculture Co., Ltd. located in Qinggeda Lake Township, more than ten varieties of vegetables, including lettuce and Chinese cabbage, are growing with the help of LED lights. All kinds of vegetables, melons and fruits are growing well, presenting a lush green scene.

Workers are busy picking lettuce, mustard greens and other green leafy vegetables. These vegetables will be sent to large supermarkets in the city and then to the tables of citizens.

Liu Zhentao, director of the production department of the intelligent LED plant factory, said that the plant factory currently mainly produces two major categories of leafy vegetables: lettuce and cruciferous vegetables, with a total of 11 varieties, as well as fruits and vegetables such as cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. It can supply 500 kilograms of fruits and vegetables to more than ten large supermarkets such as Youhao and Huijia every day.

Liu Zhentao said that because the fruits and vegetables in the plant factory do not use pesticides, they are more in line with the concept of green and smart agricultural development. In addition, the sterile environment in the factory allows vegetables to be picked without washing and ready to eat. All kinds of fruits and vegetables are also favored by consumers.

Walking into the company's smart grass planting demonstration factory, a fresh scent of grass hits your face, and seven smart grass planting box production lines are operating continuously. Open a smart grass planting box, and the forage grass on the 9-layer growing rack is lush and green.

Xian Huiming, operations director of Xinjiang Zijing Chuansuo High-tech Agriculture Co., Ltd., said that each grass planting box has an independent fully automatic remote control system. During the 7-day planting cycle, staff can intelligently control its water, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide content, etc., to ensure that it provides a complete growth environment for the forage grass. The seven grass planting boxes can produce more than 10 tons of fresh forage every day and can supply 3,000 sheep at the same time.

"The grass planting efficiency, cost performance and quality/price ratio of using plant factory technology are very high. The production cycle is only 7 days, does not occupy cultivated land, does not waste water resources, and is not subject to seasonal restrictions." Xian Huiming said that the forage grown in the intelligent grass planting factory has higher protein content, dry matter content, and higher absorbability, which can better promote animal growth and make the meat safer and higher quality. Also because animals use forage and no longer need to eat other food, breeding costs are further reduced.

Currently, the company is using fresh forage to breed fattening sheep. The company's general manager Zhang Shize said that the smart grass planting demonstration factory is an extension of the company's long-term cultivation of plant factory system integration technology. In addition to the advantage of year-round production, it can also make agriculture more precise and control the quality of agriculture. At the same time, through planting, we will promote safe and green breeding and improve quality and efficiency.

The company is also preparing for the "1656 mass-production intelligent grass planting factory" project, which has 16 production lines and an annual output of 56,000 tons of fresh forage. Zhang Shize said that after it is put into operation, the factory will provide fresh forage for 50,000 fattening sheep in Urumqi and surrounding areas and promote the upgrading of the breeding industry. It can also directly create factory-based employment for nearly 300 farmers and contribute to rural revitalization.
