SID2026 apex Pixel Pixel innovation results unveiled

Consumers’ expectations for “a good screen” are extending from the competition of complex digital parameters in dimensions such as resolution and brightness to an in-depth visual experience with perceived value that is more realistic, healthier, and lower-carbon in all scenarios. Focusing on this trend, during SID2026, TCL Huaxing demonstrated innovative results across all technology paths, continuously enriching the connotation of "a good screen". Based on APEX Pixel innovation, technical achievements such as Super Pixel, Real Stripe RGB and XRGB from TCL Huaxing were also unveiled.

▋ FMM OLED-Super Pixel: Create display products suitable for the AI era

On the FMM OLED technology path, Super Pixel breaks the "fish and bear's paw" dilemma between image quality and power consumption. It allows each pixel to have independent sub-pixels, and the number of sub-pixels is increased by about 1.8%, making the text display sharper. Because it does not require the SPR algorithm, the amount of data processing is greatly reduced, and collaborative consumption reduction of the display link is achieved. In the context of AI terminals having extremely high battery life requirements, it frees up energy consumption space for the computing power of end-side AI. This is a typical example of TCL Huaxing's implementation of "Display for AI" to optimize the display method from the underlying architecture.

Among them, the world's lowest power consumption Super Pixel mobile phone display (6.9"), the first Super Pixel technology is deeply integrated with the 8T LTPO ultra-low power architecture, supports 1-120Hz stepless frequency conversion refresh 1nit ultra-low brightness display, and reduces SoC power consumption by more than 25% compared with the traditional WQHD solution, and IC power consumption is saved by 10%, perfect flat screen. It meets the demand for high image quality and ultra-long battery life. This product uses FIAA fine arrangement technology to achieve an extremely narrow 0.82mm lower bezel, combined with efficient driver chips and ≤-55dB ultra-low flicker control, while maintaining a high pixel density of 420PPI and a high brightness of 2000nits, while significantly reducing IC and GOA driver power consumption, setting a new benchmark for comfortable eye protection and energy-saving display.

The world's first Super Pixel high-brush mobile phone display (6.9") will be Super Pixel's pixel doubling technology is deeply integrated with the ultra-high refresh rate of 165Hz. Compared with the traditional 120Hz solution, the dynamic smoothness is improved by 40%. It simultaneously achieves 2608×1200 high resolution and 420PPI delicate image quality on a 6.9-inch screen, effectively solving the high requirements of games. The problem of smearing and tearing in frame rate scenarios makes every dynamic picture clear and sharp. The 0.79mm lower border is achieved through FIAA fine arrangement technology, and combined with the high brightness of HBM2000nits, it creates a highly immersive and silky high-brush visual experience for e-sports players.

▋ Printed OLED-Real Stripe RGB: Expand the value of mid-size displays with clearer, more realistic and purer features

As an important part of APEX Pixel’s full technology path of pixel innovation, printed OLED is based on Real Stripe RGB achieves a vertical regular arrangement of pixels, bringing more stable color performance and a purer picture experience; at the same time, the printed OLED process can release more significant cost and low-carbon potential by improving material utilization and significantly reducing vacuum processes. It provides a new product direction for large-scale applications of medium-sized OLEDs such as tablets, laptops, monitors, and vehicles, and further meets consumers' needs for healthy, thin, and high-quality display experiences.

As a representative product of this technology path, the world's first foldable and portable printed OLED desktop display (28") is designed with a folding radius of R1.8mm and an unfolded thickness as low as 4.48mm. When folded, it is 16 inches, as thin and portable as an ordinary notebook. When unfolded, it is 28 inches, bringing an immersive large-screen experience, achieving a balance between portability and large-screen experience. The Real Stripe behind it RGB technology continues to make breakthroughs in stable color gamut, low blue light, clear display without color edges, and ultra-thin form, allowing display optimization to move from parameter improvement to real-scene experience improvement.

▋ LCD-XRGB: Unleash the potential for continuous evolution of the LCD system, with image quality comparable to OLED.

On the LCD technology path, TCL CSOT continues to expand the boundaries of image quality through XRGB pixel innovation including RGBC, RGBN and other technical solutions. In response to industry pain points such as color performance, cross-color control, and viewing comfort, the RGBC technical solution is not simply to add new pixels, but to innovate the underlying pixel structure to enhance color gamut performance, improve cross-color problems, and improve overall viewing friendliness. It will bring higher color gamut performance and make the picture quality of large home LCD screens comparable to OLED.
