[Barcelona, Spain, March 2, 2026] The 2026 Mobile World Congress was held at the Barcelona International Convention and Exhibition Center. TCL CSOT unveiled a number of cutting-edge display technologies and application solutions for new generation smart terminals such as AI Phones and AI PCs. Represented by the two core technologies of Super Pixel and printed OLED, it focused on demonstrating its latest achievements in the fields of high image quality, low power consumption, eye-protecting displays and new display technologies.
Super Pixel: Let you have both high image quality and low power consumption.
At MWC2026, TCL Huaxing displayed a variety of display solutions based on Super Pixel. Super pixels optimize the pixel structure to achieve independent RGB sub-pixels, resulting in clearer imaging performance and a more intuitive look and feel in terms of text sharpness, color fringing and aliasing control. At the same time, under the same "equivalent PPI" image quality conditions, compared to SPR, super pixels reduce the amount of information that needs to be processed, achieving collaborative consumption reduction in the display link.
Based on joint verification results with terminal ecosystem partners, Super Pixel has been applied to the Xiaomi Mi 17 Pro Max flagship model for the first time, and has since been expanded to Redmi K90 Pro Max, Redmi K90 and other models, which can ensure a high-quality image experience while bringing better energy efficiency. For example, under the same visual clarity, the power consumption of the driver IC can be reduced by about 10%, and the power consumption of the SoC can be reduced by about 25%. It also provides room for a high refresh experience on the basis of being more friendly to bandwidth and processing pressure, and the refresh rate capability can be increased by up to about 40%.
In the era of AI mobile phones, the value of low-power display technology is even more prominent - it is equivalent to "saving power" for the terminal's AI computing, helping the entire machine achieve a better balance between performance release and battery life, so that the AI experience no longer comes at the expense of battery life.
Printed OLED: Real Stripe RGB pixel technology products unveiled
In addition to pixel architecture innovations like Super Pixel, TCL CSOT will focus on demonstrating the latest progress of printed OLED in image quality, green manufacturing and industrialization process at MWC2026. Printed OLED uses inkjet printing and other process paths to release more significant cost and low-carbon potential by improving material utilization and reducing vacuum processes, providing a new industrialization path for the large-scale application of OLED in medium-sized fields such as tablets, notebook computers, displays, and vehicles.
In the display effect dimension, based on Real Stripe RGB, printed OLED achieves a vertical regular arrangement of super pixels, which can bring more stable color performance and a purer picture experience; in the green and low-carbon dimension, printed OLED naturally has the advantages of "two low and one high": low energy consumption in production, low resource consumption, and high utilization of materials. By significantly reducing the vacuum process, reducing the use of key consumables and chemicals, and effectively reducing waste and energy consumption in the manufacturing chain with the support of higher material utilization, printed OLED provides a scalable and verifiable technical route for the green transformation of the display industry.
Currently, TCL CSOT printed OLED has entered the acceleration stage of large-scale commercial implementation. At the MWC2026 site, the Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable concept AI PC product equipped with TCL CSOT printed OLED display was unveiled. This marks that TCL CSOT is bringing printed OLED display technology to consumers in the fastest way through joint research and creation with leading customers.
APEX Zhentu: Make technology "visible", scene-based experience and visual verification lower the cognitive threshold
In the MWC2026 exhibition area, TCL CSOT is guided by the technology brand APEX Zhentu, allowing the audience to intuitively experience Super through immersive experience, scene-based comparison and visual data presentation How Pixel super pixel brings clearer, smoother, more power-saving, and more comfortable comprehensive value in real use: the visible experience is presented through terminal trials and application scenarios; the invisible value is concretely verified with the help of instrument testing and authoritative certification systems, helping users and industry partners understand the value of technology more efficiently and make choices.
As terminal-side large models and multi-modal interactions accelerate, the explosion of terminal computing power puts forward higher requirements for overall machine energy efficiency: on the one hand, users expect a more delicate, smoother, and more immersive visual experience; on the other hand, they also need to reduce screen power consumption as much as possible in high-load AI computing scenarios to make way for computing power. Facing this trend, TCL CSOT innovates the underlying pixel architecture and manufacturing process to create "high image quality, low power consumption" products and solutions, and promotes mobile terminal display to return from "parameter competition" to the true value of "equal emphasis on experience and energy efficiency".
Facing the future, TCL CSOT will continue to delve into semiconductor display technology, drive technology iteration and industry collaboration through independent innovation, and promote display to become the key carrier connecting the digital and real world in the AI era, allowing higher image quality, lower power consumption, healthier and greener display experiences to enter a wider range of application scenarios, so that the world can use a better "a good screen".
