According to Taiyuan Daily, on September 24, the "Taiwanese Businessmen and Taiwanese Youth Come to Jinlai" - Taixin Integrated Economic Zone (Taiyuan) special promotion meeting was officially held.
It is understood that the Taixin Cross-Strait (Taiyuan) Industrial Park is an important decision made by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to actively promote cross-Strait economic exchanges and promote the integrated economic development of Shanxi and Taiwan. At the meeting site, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanxi Province, the Taiyuan Municipal Government, and the National Federation of Taiwan Enterprises signed the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Promoting the Construction of the Cross-Strait (Taiyuan) Industrial Park in the Taixin Integrated Economic Zone". Relevant units and enterprises in Shanxi and Taiwan signed 10 cooperation projects on site, with a total investment of 6.4 billion yuan, involving high-end equipment manufacturing, electronic information, new materials, modern service industries and other fields.

The second-generation semiconductor gallium arsenide surface-emission intelligent application chip R&D and production project, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion, is mainly used in 5G communications and various intelligent AI products.
The nano car light chip research and development and production project is expected to invest 300 million yuan. It is mainly used in smart car/motorcycle lights and LED lighting fixtures, with an annual output of approximately 200,000 sets.
It is reported that gallium arsenide has superior characteristics such as high frequency, high electron mobility, high output power, low noise and good linearity. It is one of the most important supporting materials in the optoelectronics and microelectronics industry. Second-generation semiconductor materials represented by gallium arsenide are being widely used in the manufacturing of high-frequency, high-speed, high-power, low-noise, high-temperature resistance, radiation resistance and other integrated circuit fields. It has now developed into a key technology for modern electronic information products and information highways.
In terms of car lights, in recent years, against the background of the rapid development of new energy vehicles and the trend of the new four modernizations of automobiles, the penetration rate of LED in the car light market has continued to increase, and it has become one of the mainstream application technologies for car lights. LEDinside, the optoelectronics research division of TrendForce, pointed out that although the demand for the automobile market in 2022 will decline due to the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the counterattack of the epidemic, as the penetration rate of LED headlights increases, coupled with the addition of smart headlights and logo lights (Logo Lamp), intelligent ambient lighting and other advanced technologies will still support the demand for automotive lighting market in 2022; at the same time, affected by the soaring cost of plastics, the price of automotive lighting products may remain unchanged or even increase. It is estimated that the global automotive lighting market output value is expected to reach US$32.68 billion in 2022, with an annual increase of 4%.
The implementation of the 10 cooperation projects this time not only promotes the integrated development of Shanxi and Taiwan, but also promotes Shanxi's opening to the outside world, adding impetus to Shanxi's high-quality transformation and development.
