AWE 2026: MLED signals released by 13 LED display companies

At the 2026 China Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo, multiple LED display manufacturers and terminal brands will showcase their consumer electronics lineups, focusing on MLED technology. The following trends can be seen:

1) The RGB Mini LED lineup is further expanded. In addition to Hisense, TCL, and Sony, brands such as Chuimi, Changhong, and Toshiba have launched RGB Mini LED products.

2) Compared with last year, the participation of AWE panel companies has increased this year. Panel companies showcase more forward-looking display technologies, such as OLED folding screens, Micro LED, etc., which are used in mobile phones, TVs, AR glasses, smart cockpits, etc.

3) AI and display are further integrated. On the one hand, it is the upgrade of interactivity in consumer electronics; on the other hand, it is the upgrade of terminal companies on control chips to enhance product image quality, low energy consumption, audio and video integration and many other additional functions.

■ BOE: Exhibiting COG Micro LED all-in-one machine, Micro LED head-up display, Micro LED glasses and other products

BOE unveiled its Blue Whale display large model, its new first-ever mirror-like "0-mark" folding display, HERO 2.0 smart cockpit solution, perovskite photovoltaics and other achievements.

In the α-MLED exhibition area, BOE’s COG Micro LED all-in-one machine uses glass-based P0.9 ultra-thin HDR technology, which combines the five advantages of ultra-high definition, high brightness, extreme flatness, gentle eye protection, and seamless splicing. In addition, BOE also brought the world's first HERO 2.0 smart cockpit solution. Among them, the Micro LED PHUD panoramic head-up display has an ultra-high brightness of 50,000 nits, and the AI voice and gesture control complex command recognition rate is as high as 98%; the 15.6-inch car-grade UB Cell central control large screen achieves perfect black and high-contrast pictures; the world's first intelligent independent car amplifier is equipped with real-time AI sound quality repair technology.

At the same time, in the field of smart cycling, BOE also exhibited an AI+AR cycling sports glasses. It is understood that this cycling sports glasses uses Micro LED + diffraction light waveguide technology to project navigation information, riding data, etc. into the glasses' field of view in real time. The built-in large model also supports AI object recognition, real-time translation, voice dialogue and other functions. The product is expected to be jointly released with the car manufacturer in June this year.

■ TCL: Exhibiting a variety of SQD/RGB Mini LED TVs

TCL focused on displaying a number of cutting-edge technologies and innovative products represented by SQD-Mini LED, printed OLED, and TOPCon multi-slice photovoltaic modules.

In the field of TV, SQD-Mini LED TV King X11L, Q10M Pro, C12L; Micro Mini LED TV 163X11H Max; QD-Mini LED Art TV A400 Pro, RGB-Mini LED TV Q10M Ultra, etc. were exhibited. Among them, X11L has 20,736 Vientiane partitions and a brilliant XDR 10,000nits peak brightness; 163X11H Max is equipped with more than 24.88 million inorganic self-luminous chips.

With "display + scene" as the core driver, Tianma Microelectronics focuses on the fields of smart terminals, smart homes, industrial displays, smart travel and other fields. It focuses on displaying technological achievements such as Micro LED, flexible OLED display, 3D display, etc., and exhibits 3-inch AI smart terminals, AIoT smart module solutions, 27-inch privacy wood grain car display, 7.05-inch Micro LED transparent display and other products.

Among them, the 7.05-inch Micro-LED transparent display has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a brightness of 1,700 nits, an NTSC>120% color gamut, a transmittance of 61%, and a response speed of microseconds, which can combine unbounded immersive vision and high transparency.

■ Chenxian Optoelectronics: Bringing a variety of TFT-based Micro-LED displays

At AWE 2026, Chenxian Optoelectronics brought the first P0.7 TFT glass-based Micro-LED commercial display product, as well as the first 19-inch P0.4 TFT-based Micro-LED transparent screen. It is understood that Chenxian Optoelectronics’ TFT-based Micro LED products are equipped with a wave transmittance of 70% and adopt seamless splicing technology.

At this AWE exhibition, Skyworth will exhibit more than 120 products of all categories.

At AWE2026, Sony's true color RGB TV completed the world's first public display of image quality; it is understood that true color RGB TV has three core features: true color wide color gamut, true color grayscale precise control, and true color active wide viewing angle.

By independently and accurately controlling the three primary color backlights of red, green, and blue, a higher color purity than traditional monochromatic light sources is achieved from a physical level. Combined with Sony's proprietary color management science, it can achieve wide color gamut coverage while ensuring that color saturation is at a true and natural ideal level.
